Somali Family Service has been actively monitoring the local and federal response to the COVID-19 outbreak. In order to continue to provide support, we will become an active resource and response center to meet the immediate challenges and needs of our local community. Our primary goal is to minimize the immediate impact on families, workers, and students who are unsure how to navigate resources in this uncertain time. To do this, we will be offering community assistance by appointment.

We will be assisting the community with insurance, guidance on shopping, coordinating with schools, navigating state and local resources, unemployment, information, transportation, translation, and other resources as needed. We will also work to establish an emergency fund to provide cash assistance to families directly affected by COVID-19.
